Police are searching for 20-year-old Markyse Maijae McCain in connection with a murder in the 2200 block of Kay Drive in Smithfield, N.C. Authorities have described him as ‘armed and dangerous’.
The Smithfield Police Department is searching for a 20-year-old man accused of a homicide that occurred Monday afternoon.
Police said they responded to the 2200 block of Kay Drive, near an apartment complex off U.S. 301, in reference to a shooting. Investigators said a preliminary investigation revealed that an altercation led to the death of an individual.
Police have not identified the victim, but warrants were obtained for the arrest of McCain, from Selma, North Carolina. The police stated that they are charging him with first-degree murder.
McCain is considered to be armed and dangerous, according to police.
