A Nashville, Tennessee, man is in jail after police said a woman was in an East Nashville park feeding her baby when a man she was previously in a relationship with, with whom she shares a one-year-old son, raped her.
Metro Police say on May 25, 2023-the victim agreed to meet 24-year-old Ryean Floyd at Shelby Park on Davidson Street. Floyd wanted to see his one-year-old son, whom he and the victim shared. So, according to police, Floyd texted the victim, so they could meet for him to see his son.
The two spent a little time together before the victim told Floyd she would head home because it was getting late. According to police, the victim walked her son to her car, placed him in the backseat, and decided to feed the child before they left the park. As Floyd approached the vehicle from behind, he allegedly lifted the woman’s skirt and raped her.
The woman begged Floyd to stop raping her, according to police, but Floyd allegedly continued to which the a*sault lasted five minutes before he let her go.
According to police, the incident was audio recorded on the victim’s phone, and she could be heard crying and begging Floyd to stop. Police said Floyd’s voice could be heard, and the child’s crying could also be heard.
The woman was transported to a local hospital and treated. She told investigators that she had not seen or spoken to Floyd for a year before the attack.
Floyd has been charged with aggravated rape and kidnapping.
