In a major Nash County meth trafficking arrest, four Florida residents were busted Thursday morning after deputies say they were driving down I-95 with drugs.
According to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to multiple reports of someone actively using drugs behind the wheel. When deputies located and pulled over the car, it didn’t take long to smell what was going on. The group allegedly admitted right then and there—they had been smoking weed in the car.
That confession gave deputies probable cause to search the vehicle, and what they found was meth for miles. Inside coolers and boxes, deputies discovered 22.6 pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $600,000.
