Malachi Kitterrance Tyquan Brown, 20, was taken into custody and charged in connection with an alleged contaminated drink incident that left a woman hospitalized.

According to Columbus County News, the alleged victim — a 20-year-old woman — told deputies that Brown picked her up and drove her to a residence. The two reportedly engaged in consensual sex.

Warrants listed the date of offense as Friday, January 16, 2026.

Afterward, the woman said Brown handed her a cup of water that had an unusual taste. When she questioned it, Brown allegedly told her the water contained diluted bleach, claiming it would “kill sperm cells” and prevent pregnancy while being harmless to her body.

Not long after returning home, the woman reportedly became violently ill and began vomiting. She then called 911 for help.

Emergency medical personnel responded and transported her to Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, where she received medical treatment.
