Little River Boat Shooting
The 19-year-old son of a woman who hosted a now-notorious annual boat party that turned into a mass shooting has been arrested more than 800 miles away from the crime scene.

Shawon Shamarion Williams was taken into custody by authorities in Lake County, Illinois, after being identified as the alleged shooter in the Little River boat shooting that left 10 people injured.
According to the Horry County Police Department, the shooting erupted from an argument during the birthday bash hosted on a private charter boat by Jacklyn Patrice Bellamy, dubbed the “Rock Tha Boat Jackie-O & Friends Annual Birthday Boat Party.”
The chaos unfolded on Saturday, May 25, around 9:15 p.m., at the dock near Watson Avenue. As partygoers exited the boat, witnesses told The North Carolina Beat that gunfire suddenly erupted, sending people scrambling.
