Davidson County Courthouse crash
A 60-year-old woman, identified as Lisa Vicente, was arrested on Thursday, April 3, 2025, after she intentionally drove her vehicle into the Davidson County Courthouse, according to the Lexington Police Department.
Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash at the courthouse, located at 110 West Center Street in Lexington. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Vicente had “willingly and purposely” driven her car into the building’s structure.

The courthouse sustained damage, but no injuries were reported.
Following the crash, Vicente was taken into custody and transported to the Davidson County Detention Center, where she is currently being held without bond. She faces several charges, including:
Damage to Real Property
Reckless Driving with Wanton Disregard
Defacing a Public Building
Vicente is scheduled to appear in court on April 23, 2025.
Investigators have not released a motive for the incident. The case remains under active investigation by local authorities.
Despite the dramatic nature of the crash, officials confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
