A North Carolina woman, who was found shot dead on her front porch in Knightdale, has been identified.
Knightdale Police Department said they responded to a shooting call on Thursday, just before 8 p.m. In the Widewaters neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found Shinaka Ocean Earth, a 40-year-old woman, on her front porch with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics attempted to save Earth’s life, but their life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Knightdale Police Chief Lawrence Capps said that no one has been arrested yet.
According to online reports, more than 50 evidence markers were visible on the road at the scene.
Police said on Thursday that this was an isolated incident, and there was no danger to the public.
