Harris County Deputy Pulls Gun in Family Dispute
A Harris County, Texas Precinct 1 deputy constable is in hot water after a viral video showed her pulling a gun during a heated family altercation—while in uniform and off-duty. The wild footage, which has racked up over 131,000 views on Instagram, has sparked public outrage, with many accusing the deputy of abusing her badge.
The incident unfolded during a chaotic confrontation involving the deputy, her sister, and the father of her sister’s child, Michael Evans. According to reports, Evans and the deputy’s sister were arguing when Evans allegedly grabbed her phone. That phone apparently belonged to the deputy, who then escalated the situation by pulling out her firearm.
In the viral clip, the uniformed deputy is seen yelling, “Play with me. Play with me,” as she demands the phone back—pointing her gun at an unarmed Evans the entire time.

Deputy Reassigned Amid Internal Probe
As of August 5, Constable Alan Rosen announced the deputy has been placed on desk duty while Internal Affairs investigates. He assured the public the department is taking the incident seriously and promised full transparency once findings are finalized.
Despite public outcry, no criminal charges have been filed, and the deputy’s identity still remains under wraps.

Evans, who says he only started recording at the insistence of other family members, told local media he was shocked by how quickly things escalated.
Supporters say the deputy’s actions were not only excessive but illegal. Many are demanding she be arrested like any other civilian would be for pointing a gun during a domestic dispute.
