A Goldsboro woman is facing multiple charges after police say she drove more than 100 mph during a snowstorm with a child in the vehicle.

GOLDSBORO, NC — While most North Carolinians were slowing down and staying off icy roads, one Goldsboro woman is accused of doing the exact opposite — allegedly flooring it past 100 mph in a snowstorm with a child in the vehicle.

According to arrest records, Kierra Taina Taylor, 24, was taken into custody following a traffic stop on January 31, along U.S. Highway 70 East in Johnston County, as winter weather conditions made driving especially dangerous.

Authorities say Taylor was allegedly clocked at 103 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone during the storm.

Taylor is facing multiple criminal charges, including driving  while impaired (DWI), speeding (103 mph in a 55 mph zone), reckless driving and misdemeanor child abuse.
