Four Arrested After Gunfire Strikes Charlotte School Bus in Drug Deal Gone Bad [VIDEO]

On Monday, December 16, 2024, a drug deal gone wrong led to gunfire that struck an Albemarle Road Middle school bus in Charlotte, North Carolina. Four individuals have been arrested in connection to the violent altercation that occurred along the 8820 block of East W.T. Harris Boulevard.

Arrested Suspects in the Shooting

The individuals arrested and charged in connection to the incident include:

  • Paris Lewis-Bynum, 20
  • Lamarius Anthony, 21
  • Jaheim Savion Boone, 23
  • Joshua Woods, 21

According to authorities, gunfire erupted when Boone, armed with a Glock 45, attempted to shoot and kill three people in a 2018 Infiniti Q50 and a Chevy Express. During the confrontation, gunshots pierced the school bus windows, but fortunately, no one on board was shot. However, two students were injured by flying glass.

Charges and Arrests

Jaheim Savion Boone was arrested after a brief foot pursuit on Thursday. He faces numerous charges, including:

  • Three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Nine counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied moving vehicle
  • Possession with the intent to manufacture and sell cocaine
  • Two counts of carrying a concealed weapon
  • Resisting, delaying, obstructing a public officer

Boone remains in jail with no bond set.

Joshua Woods was charged with:

  • Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Two counts of felony conspiracy

Lamarius Anthony faces charges for:

  • Felony possession of cocaine
  • Carrying a concealed weapon

Anthony has since bonded out of jail.

Paris Lewis-Bynum is charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm by a felon
  • Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Possession of a stolen vehicle

New charges were filed against Bynum on Friday, including allegations of stealing a rifle from a state Highway Patrol vehicle in Ballantyne just hours before the shooting. His bond was denied Thursday, and he remains in custody.
