A Florida man has been sentenced to probation after prosecutors say he attempted to run over a man whom he mistakenly believed was a registered child s3x offender.
45-year-old Kinte Franklin was driving outside of a liquor store in Escambia County back in January when he saw the victim. According to NorthEscambia.com, Franklin allegedly said to the victim, “I’m going to kill you because you are a convicted child molester,” and proceeded to run over the victim’s legs.

The victim’s wife claimed she heard a passenger in Franklin’s car say, “You just need to run over this motherf**ker, you just need to kill him.” Surveillance footage from the Fusion Liquor store showed Franklin circling the parking lot before pulling up to the victim and exchanging words. Franklin is then seen pulling into a parking spot before backing out and driving forward to repeatedly hit the victim with his car, according to NorthEscambia.com.
