Durham, North Carolina man charged with murder of man found inside the trunk of a car
Police in Durham, North Carolina, say they have arrested and charged a man wanted in connection with a 2022 homicide, in which the victim was found dead inside the trunk of a car.
On Monday, Durham detectives arrested 20-year-old Jamaree Green of Durham and charged him with the murder of 39-year-old Jivon Cherry.

September 13, 2022 shooting at Falls Pointe Apartments
On September 13, 2022, police reported finding Cherry dead at the Falls Pointe Apartments on Glen Falls Drive, located off South Alston Avenue and TW Alexander Drive.
Initial charges were filed against Green on June 26, but he remained at large until August 15, when he was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for those outstanding warrants.

This past Friday, Durham officers transported Green back from Georgia to Durham County Jail, where he remains with no bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
