Duplin County Woman Says Middle Schooler Bullied Second-Grade Nephew

Duplin County middle schooler gun video investigation after disturbing Facebook footage involving a second-grade boy

A Duplin County middle schooler is on video allegedly bullying a second grader with what appears to be a toy gun.

DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. — A video making rounds on Facebook has folks across Duplin County upset.

A local woman accused a middle schooler of bullying — and allegedly pointing what appears to be a toy gun — at her second-grade nephew in a social media post.

According to the post, shared late Wednesday night, Valerie Nelson claims the footage shows her young nephew being intimidated by another child in the Tanglewood area.

Nelson didn’t hold back in her caption, writing:

“He literally refused to let him leave. He is a bully… this is a hostage holder, a baby KILLER IN THE MAKING.”

She identified the person behind the camera, whom she says is a middle schooler living across the street.

According to Nelson, police is investigating.
