Federal Prosecutors Ask Judge To Sentence Sean “Diddy” Combs To Over 11 Years in Prison

In a sentencing memorandum filed late Monday night, federal prosecutors asked the court to impose a prison sentence of no less than 135 months on Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The request follows what the government describes as extensive evidence presented over a seven-week trial, demonstrating Combs’ involvement in criminal conduct spanning more than a decade.

The memorandum states that although Combs contested certain elements of the charged offenses, he largely conceded his conduct, which includes violence, domestic abuse, drug use and distribution, and bribery.

Prosecutors clarified that the recommended sentence is not for any counts on which Combs was acquitted, but for those on which he was convicted.

The government expressed that sentencing must reflect not just the crimes, but the manner in which they were committed.

The filing references other federal cases in which defendants convicted of similar crimes received sentences exceeding ten years, particularly where violence and fear were central to the offenses.

Prosecutors argued that Combs’ actions align with these cases and warrant a comparable sentence.

GOVERNMENT CALLS Sean Diddy COMBS “UNREPENTANT”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music mogul and entrepreneur currently facing federal sentencing after being convicted of serious crimes including violence, drug trafficking, and bribery.

Prosecutors described the defendant as unrepentant, noting that although he acknowledged certain acts of violence and abuse during trial, he later attempted to place blame on his victims. The memo stated that Combs sought to minimize the seriousness of his conduct by framing it as part of mutually toxic relationships, a characterization the government strongly rejected.

“There is nothing mutual about a relationship where one person holds all the power and the other ends up bloodied and bruised,” the filing reads.

Based on the severity and pattern of the offenses, federal prosecutors are urging the court to impose a minimum sentence of 135 months—equivalent to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison.
