Alleged Nightclub Assault in Mayfair
Brown was arrested on May 15, 2025, at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester shortly after his arrival in the UK by private jet. Authorities allege that during an incident at Tape nightclub in London’s upscale Mayfair district on February 19, 2023, Brown assaulted music producer Abraham “Abe” Diaw. Reports claim Brown struck Diaw with a tequila bottle, then continued to punch and kick him. The attack was allegedly captured on surveillance footage, according to multiple sources including AP News, BBC, and Fox News.
Another American artist, Omololu Akinlolu (known professionally as HoodyBaby), also faces charges in connection with the altercation. Neither defendant has entered a plea. Both are scheduled to appear in court on June 20, 2025.
