Wordddddd On The Curb… pastor by day and cheater by night, Pastor Sheldon McCarter of Hello Greater Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina — and no stranger to The North Carolina Beat — has been busted cheating on his wife, First Lady Joyce McCarter, with another man’s wife, and they trying to keep it on the DL.
Hopefully, Joyce wasn’t pissy drunk like she was when her so-called friends set her up like a fool on a boat, got her tore down to the ground, and recorded her — to the point she didn’t even realize that while she was looking cute at church, her husband was slanging his meat on a member of their praise & worship team.
The Street Committee Spills on the Bowdens and the Bishop
The BeatMob Street Committee said that Pastor Boysie Bowden, pastor of Remnant Church International in High Point, NC, and his wife Sherri Bowden were praise and worship leaders at Hello Greater Church.
As married people of God, you supposed to be loving ONE husband or ONE wife — not out here effing another man’s spouse.
Sources told The North Carolina Beat that while the Bowdens were serving as leaders on the praise & worship team, word got back to Boysie that his wife Sherri was creeping with Bishop McCarter. Bishop denied it, but Boysie hired a private investigator, who allegedly caught Bishop Sheldon and Sherri Bowden laid up in a hotel bed.
Hotel Stays, Back Doors, and Tag Switches
The North Carolina Beat obtained videos allegedly showing Bishop McCarter and Sherri sneaking out of multiple hotels through back exits.

Old Scandals Still Haunting the Bishop
In 2019, Bishop McCarter lost his church building after it went broke and couldn’t cover a $3.5 million foreclosure. Last year, he reportedly had a nervous breakdown over the pulpit and told his members to “kiss his a*s.” (Click HERE if you missed that)

And to think that this was a WSSU church for college students who were seeking God at a vunerable time in their young lives. I could feel that something was wrong in that church.
