Shocking aurora police shooting caught on video as Black man gunned down in the street
According to officials, the deadly encounter started just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, near East 6th Avenue and Sable Boulevard. Police say the officer, working a DUI task force, attempted to pull over a driver who then struck two vehicles after crossing a median. No one else was injured in the crash.
But things quickly escalated.
Police claim the man refused commands to exit the vehicle at first. When he finally did, they say he ignored more commands and got into a physical altercation with the officer, as reported by Denver Gazzette. During the scuffle, a gun was reportedly spotted on the ground—not in the man’s hand—yet the officer attempted to “pull him away from the weapon” instead of securing it.
Authorities say the man, with a yellow shirt, then squared up in a “fighting stance” and took an “aggressive posture” toward the officer. Bodycam hasn’t been released yet, but social media footage tells a disturbing story.
The Video Tells A Different Story…
A viral video—already sparking outrage online—shows the man clearly unarmed, walking towards the officer in a fighting stance. Then suddenly—POP. POP. POP.
The officer involved reportedly fired the fatal shots within seconds, and the man died on scene.
Police Responds To Shooting
Aurora PD wasted no time pushing their narrative. In a press statement, they claimed the suspect was “aggressive,” shouted at others nearby, and “refused multiple commands.”
To make matters worse, the firearm allegedly spotted at the scene was never in the man’s hand—and officers admit he never grabbed it.
The man’s name has not yet been released. But his death, like too many others, is already being dissected on social media.

I wouldn’t keep walking toward anyone who had a gun pointing at me.
The citizen did not have a weapon. The officer could have tased him…
I agree
