15-year-old accused of killing 14-year-old brother is now in custody after a tragic shooting in Wilson, North Carolina that left 14-year-old Clente Barnes-Allen dead.
WILSON, N.C. – A North Carolina family is shattered after a deadly shooting between two brothers ended in heartbreak — and now a 15-year-old is facing serious charges.
The North Carolina Beat has learned that a teenage boy identified as Brayden has been arrested after allegedly shooting and killing his 14-year-old brother, Clente Barnes-Allen, in Wilson.

According to Wilson Police Department, officers rushed to Woodside Drive West around 8:42 p.m. Wednesday following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found young Clente suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was rushed to the hospital — but sadly, he didn’t make it.
Sources say the suspected shooter is Clente’s own older brother.
In an official statement, the police department said the situation has hit especially hard:
“The Wilson Police Department is deeply saddened by the loss of any life that is the result of gun violence, and that loss is amplified when it is the life of a child.”
Meanwhile, Brayden is now facing multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter and possession of a stolen firearm. Because of his age, he is being held in a juvenile detention facility under the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Wilson Woman Charged With Accessory After the Fact in Double Murder of Mother and Son
Clente was a student at Forest Hills Middle. In a statement the principal said:
“I am calling this afternoon with some unfortunate news. As some of you may have heard, one of our students, Clente Barnes-Allen, passed away last night. We had additional counselors on campus today to support students and staff. Please keep the family and friends of this student in your thoughts and prayers, as well as our Forest Hills family. This is a very difficult time for them and for all of us.”

Authorities have not publicly confirmed what led up to the shooting.
