A Holly Springs couple is sitting behind bars for allegedly torturing 11-year-old daughter.
A Wake County couple is now sitting behind bars after prosecutors say their own home turned into a house of horror for their 11-year-old daughter.
Authorities say Christopher Ross and Tamara Ross are both facing felony child abuse charges tied to allegations that span nearly TWO YEARS.
According to what was revealed in court, prosecutors didn’t hold back when describing what they say happened inside that house.
They allege that Christopher Ross intentionally burned the child’s feet in scalding hot water, leaving her with permanent scars she still carries today. Officials say that incident dates back to January 2023.
But it didn’t stop there…
Prosecutors say Ross also tortured the child by holding her head under running water with a cloth over her mouth, essentially waterboarding her to the point where she couldn’t breathe.
And if that wasn’t enough, officials claim the abuse was ongoing—and that the child was also starved over time.
Authorities say Tamara Ross didn’t step in to stop any of it. Instead, prosecutors allege she allowed the abuse to happen right in front of her, failing to protect her daughter while it allegedly continued for months.
Both Christopher and Tamara Ross made their first court appearances Thursday, where prosecutors laid out the details.
