North Carolina health officials say they have seen a significant increase in coronavirus cases in the state over the weekend.
As of Monday, there have been 232,747 cases in the state, and an increase of 5,316 since Friday.
More than 3,000 have died in North Carolina as a result of COVID-19.
Health officials say 1,109 people are hospitalized, and 3,411,026 tests have been completed.
