A tragic incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at Holiday City Community Homes in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where a 15-year-old child was discovered deceased at the bottom of a pool.
According to a press release, Jacksonville Fire & Emergency Services responded to a call for a non-responsive juvenile at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Corbin Street in the Holiday City Community Homes community. Upon arrival at the scene, Jacksonville Fire & Emergency Services found bystanders performing CPR on the young girl.
Despite their efforts and those of the emergency services, unfortunately, the child could not be revived. The authorities have confirmed that the child passed away at the scene, and the medical examiner’s office is now involved in the investigation.

Earlier today, a Facebook user named Tameika Lynn Washington reported that her 10-year-old son discovered a 15-year-old girl at the bottom of a pool and rescued her. Washington mentioned in her post that the girl’s parents were not present at the scene.
The Jacksonville Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
