North Carolina high school basketball coach fired and charged for allegedly giving alcohol to 2 students

A high school basketball coach in North Carolina, Trenton Flemming, has been terminated from his position at Southside High School in Chocowinity.

Flemming, who also served as an English teacher at P.S. Jones Middle School in Washington, North Carolina, was relieved of his duties last week due to an ethics violation. On the same day of his termination, an investigation was initiated regarding his involvement with alcohol.

Flemming has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile for allegedly providing alcohol to two students off school premises. He has received a criminal summons in relation to this incident.

Records indicate that Flemming had been employed at the high school since August 2023.
