A Zebulon woman is facing criminal charges after police say she tampered with a Tesla vehicle—an incident that comes amid rising public backlash against Elon Musk and the Tesla brand.
According to police warrants, 24-year-old Olivia Marie Antoine was arrested on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, and charged with injuring/tampering with a motor vehicle. Authorities allege that on March 13, Antoine “did individually tamper with a vehicle without consent of the owner.” The vehicle in question was a 2021 Tesla Model 3, a popular all-electric car manufactured by Musk’s company.
Antoine was booked into custody and given a $1,000 secured bond, which she posted early Wednesday morning.
