On Friday, January 24, Dominique Hicks took to Facebook to air out some serious business, claiming a local cook, Jasmine Stivender, a woman she previously did business with stole more than $500 from her food stamp card.
According to Hicks, her dealings with “Straightout of Mamaskitchen,” a home-based plate seller, took a turn when she woke up to discover $509.01 was missing from her card after a shopping spree at Sam’s Club.Â
In her post, Hicks calls out 33-year-old Stivender of Winston-Salem, claiming that Stivender lied about being involved in the theft, despite Hicks allegedly catching her red-handed with the groceries from video footage police allegedly obtained. Stivender reportedly denied being at Sam’s Club the morning of Jan. 21, at 9:18 a.m., claiming she never steals and even offered to feed Hicks and her children if they needed a plate.
But according to Hicks, the plot thickens.
Hicks said she reached out to Stivender directly, asking her about the purchase. Stivender denied it, saying she didn’t go to the store. But after Hicks filed a police report, the investigation revealed that Stivender was spotted on camera at Sam’s Club, pushing $509.01 worth of groceries out of the store.

To make matters worse, Hicks claims Stivender’s “spouse”, Terrence Lillard, allegedly lent his membership card to his Stivender so she could get inside Sam’s Club. Police reports, according to Hicks, allegedly show that this isn’t the first time the couple has been linked to suspicious activity, with other victims allegedly coming forward about similar thefts.
As for Stivender? She’s reportedly been telling people that Hicks sold her the $509.01 worth of food stamps, but Hicks denies it.
