Funeral Home Viral Line Dancing
A TikTok video is going viral, as two women, including a funeral home secretary, were filmed attempting to line dance to the iconic 2 Live Crew song “Pop That Coochie” inside New Beginnings Funeral Services. The video was originally posted on TikTok by Tiera Monique, and has led to questions about the professionalism at the funeral home.

The video features Monique, dressed in all black, alongside Beverly Smith, the funeral home’s secretary, dressed in a blue nurse outfit. Tiera can be seen near the exit of the sanctuary, while Beverly is toward the front, dancing and enjoying the music as a portable Roses boombox blasts the controversial track, with LED lights flashing in the background.

New Beginnings Funeral Services, located in Scotland Neck, is led by funeral director John Smith. The business is known for offering professional services to families during their most difficult times. However, the actions in the TikTok video raise concerns over the professionalism of the establishment. As families entrust their loved ones to the care of funeral homes, actions like these can damage reputations and trust.
It remains to be seen how New Beginnings Funeral Services and its director, John Smith, will respond to the viral video and whether any actions will be taken to address this incident.

As a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for more than 25 years I believe posting this video is a disservice, especially to Black-owned businesses and this establishment. There is nothing inappropriate about professionals spending time in their own business after hours, especially considering how many countless hours they invest in that building after hours serving those who entrust them with their services. Attempting to misappropriate professionalism with personal time is misleading and unfair. What individuals do in their private time outside of work does not diminish their commitment or the quality of their work.
While we patronize this site to see whats goining on with gossip or news, I hope this platform exercises better judgment in the future by thoroughly vetting the facts posting something that may tarnish the reputation of a business that is likely valued and appreciated by its community.
Why is it considered lack of professionalism because they are dancing in a funeral home with only themselves in the establishment.
Did the dancing do something to the corpses and upset them. Perhaps made them appalled because the dancing interrupted their eternal sleep.
Were they expected to put on their professional mourning clothes and faces and fake it out!
Geez
People complain about anything now days. Just miserable individuals. Smh
Gerald please don’t roast me. 🤣
Love you Sun
