VETERAN OFFICER TOMMY NORMAN ARRESTED ON DOMESTIC BATTERY CHARGE
Tommy Norman, a beloved 27-year veteran of the North Little Rock Police Department known nationwide for his community outreach, has been arrested and charged with Domestic Battery in the 3rd Degree following an alleged domestic violence incident involving his wife, Rosalynd Norman.
According to reports from TMZ, KATV, and THV11, law enforcement was dispatched Saturday night after a call about a domestic dispute involving Norman and his wife. Norman’s wife reportedly told officers that he struck her in the chest with the back of his hand during an argument. Minor injuries were observed.
The officer claims he was merely blocking her hand after she attempted to slap him.
He was booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility and is currently being held without bond. Per department policy, Norman has been placed on administrative leave pending two investigations.
Tommy Norman isn’t just any officer. He built a national reputation for connecting with the community, posting videos of his interactions with North Little Rock youth, elderly, and families.
His brand of “community policing” gained national attention and led to him receiving a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.

I don’t know either of them, but I’ve watched several posts about them on Facebook and Instagram and I seem to love this couple. I really hope that this is just all a big misunderstanding and if they have to separate, let him go his way and she go her way amicably.
There’s always Three side to a Story & Two things can be True @ the Same Time… I’m A a Woman in the Heat of an Argument a Woman will strike & Attackif the man needs to protect himself from Her she Can be Hurt without an direct attack from a Man… Both of them Should have Been Arrested or Seperate the two for 24hrs. . If a Man is going g to Attack a Woman She would be Down. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors, what people give to the public and what goes on in their homes are 2 different environments. Only people know the truth behind this is him and her. So whether it’s believed or not, he’s in jail for domestic battery. Now let the judge and jury decide who’s right and who’s wrong.

Worked law enforcement for years myself and retired from Texas Prisons as a security guard. There is no way this man is guilty of this, but it does have to be checked out. I’m praying for you Officer Norman. This can happen to anyone. Hurry back to all of us.

Officer Tommy Norman has done more for his Community then any other Officer I’ve ever seen. Those families and children love him and he has been an amazing role model. I pray this is some BIG mistake. Hang in there Officer Norman, your community is behind you.
This saddens me, i really admired officer Norman for all his great work in the community etc, I really hope this isn’t all the way true, but he could be under alot of stress PTSD etc from his line of work to losing his daughter to suicide etc

I don’t know either of these people, but seeing all the good this man does for other people, I don’t believe, for a minute, that he would hit,or hurt, her in any manner. It’s unreal that he was arrested and held with no bond. This is another case of marrying outside your race, with different cultures involved, however, Officer Norman deals with the black neighborhoods and they all lovevthem; he has given a life to so many, with his caring and attention.
She might of saw all of the posts about him trying to get with other females. There is proof of it too.
That’s plausible. The fallout was supposedly over him cheating. I can see her being angry and the thought of public humiliation probably sent her over the top. Especially if he was planning on leaving her. I heard rumors of that as well. If this is true,I can totally see her trying to destroy him and his reputation before she lets him move on to someone else. She seems like that type to be vindictive and spiteful like that.

I don’t believe it and I don’t know either of them. Sometimes it’s not always the men. Not to mention I’ve seen women beat themselves up with no man around and have men arrested off of a lie. I hope they dig deep into it. I can slap my own chest and it turns red.
