Just months after the tragic murder of 23-year-old Dashaun Johnson, Durham police have announced the arrests of three suspects, closing in on a case that is nothing more than senseless gun violence in the Bull City.

The suspects—Marcus Beatty Jr., 22, Elijah Page, 20, and Simone Cameron, 19—are all charged with first-degree murder in connection with Johnson’s death. The young man was found on Glenbrook Drive and Dubonnet Place with life-threatening gunshot wounds, and later died as a result of his injuries.

As the investigation continues, Durham authorities have also filed additional charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder against both Beatty and Cameron, hinting at a possible coordinated plot behind Johnson’s killing.
Currently, all three men are being held without bond in Durham County Jail.
