Onslow County deputies say two Richlands, North Carolina residents were bold enough to use a Molotov cocktail to damage a vehicle. Authorities have now charged both suspects in what investigators describe as a serious act of incendiary property destruction.
According to the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Aaron S. Burkhardt and 33-year-old Briana P. Irizarry, both of Richlands, were arrested Friday, October 31. Court documents show the incident happened on October 26 and involved a vehicle being hit with an incendiary explosive device — a Molotov cocktail.

Aaron Burkhardt is charged with two counts of malicious use of an incendiary explosive device causing property damage and one count of felony conspiracy.
Briana Irizarry faces one count of malicious use of an incendiary explosive device causing property damage and one count of felony conspiracy.
Burkhardt is currently being held without bond, while Irizarry’s bond is set at $20,000 secured, according to court documents.
