A late-night double murder has left the city of Reidsville rattled after 42-year-old Samuel L. Brooks and 37-year-old Shanika D. Penn were found shot to death in the 500 block of Roach Street.
The deadly shooting unfolded around 11:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, prompting a response from Reidsville Police and Rockingham County EMS. Despite efforts to save them, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The two victims were related.
