According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to a shooting shortly before 8 p.m. in the 1800 block of Cantwell Court. When they arrived, they found 38-year-old Alana Enoicy suffering from a gunshot wound. Enoicy was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later died from her injuries.

Police have arrested 65-year-old Keith L. Atkinson in connection with the deadly incident. The North Carolina news He has been charged with murder and possession of a stolen firearm.
