A man from Raleigh, North Carolina, known as ‘Bad News’, has been sentenced to a 15-year vacation in federal prison for his role in a tragic incident involving a 22-year-old woman and a deadly dose of fentanyl.

This unfortunate incident began back in April 2017 when Treveris Montel Coward, aged 31, decided to play a dangerous game that would ultimately cost him his freedom. Despite him saving the victim’s life after she overdosed on fentanyl received from his girlfriend, Amanda McLeod, the next day, Coward provided more fentanyl to the woman which led to her untimely demise.

Now, the curtains have closed on this dark chapter, with Coward facing the consequences of his actions behind bars.

U.S. Attorney Michael Easley stated in a press release that Coward was “the worst kind of coward” for “rendering aid to an overdose victim only to sell her one final deadly dose.”

“If your drugs kill, you will pay a heavy price,” Easley said.
