A late-night failed make-up convo at a Charlotte 7-Eleven spiraled into a violent attack when 27-year-old Diamond Saunders allegedly stabbed her ex-girlfriend.
What Went Down?
Around 10 p.m. on October 22, police were called to the University City Blvd 7-Eleven after eyewitnesses reported a fight between two women in the parking lot. According to court records, Saunders had recently broken up with her ex-girlfriend after two years together.
The two allegedly tried to “talk things out,” but it just wasn’t working out, when Saunders reportedly pulled her ex-girlfriend’s hair during the argument, which escalated into an assault involving a knife.
Police Arrive at the Scene
Bystanders quickly called 911, watching as Saunders allegedly stabbed her ex in the chest. Emergency responders transported the 28-year-old victim to the hospital with serious injuries. Police arrested Saunders shortly after and charged her with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
