Tracy Ellixson arrest charges
Tracy Ellixson, a Person County Commissioner, has been charged with multiple serious offenses, including assault by pointing a firearm, communicating threats, domestic violence, and false imprisonment. He was arrested on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
According to court documents, Ellixson allegedly pointed a firearm at his wife, Magan and made threats to kill her. These accusations led to charges of assault by pointing a gun, misdemeanor domestic violence, and false imprisonment. Ellixson also faced additional charges on the same day as his arrest.

These included felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possessing marijuana in quantities of up to half an ounce. Authorities also charged him with carrying a concealed weapon. CBS17 reported these new charges. Court records show that Ellixson was arrested and booked into custody with a $20,000 bond but was later released on Friday afternoon.

Ellixson also is accused of attempting to hide a cell phone in his legal paperwork while being booked into custody. The Person County Sheriff’s Office stated that Ellixson attempted to smuggle the device into the jail, and that no jail personnel provided him with the phone.
