Pariss Tucker Baines, 50, was fatally shot outside her Winston-Salem apartment during a crossfire she was never meant to be a part of, police say.

Police say the deadly incident was sparked by two unknown groups exchanging gunfire — and tragically, neither Pariss Tucker Baines or the other woman injured, were the intended targets.

No arrests have been made. Winston-Salem PD says the investigation is ongoing, and they’re asking the public for help.
