Authorities in Scotland Neck announced the arrest of Tarniquia Scott, a woman they describe as a “repeat offender” with a violent criminal history. Scott, 25, of Enfield, was taken into custody on Christmas Day after turning herself in and charged with attempted murder after allegedly ambushing two men in a car on December 23.
The incident occurred in the 500 block of East 8th Street, where Scott is accused of waiting to shoot the victims. Both men sustained injuries but managed to drive themselves to the Scotland Neck Police Department, where their wounds were determined to be non-life-threatening.
A History of Violence
Police emphasized Scott’s extensive criminal history, stating that she is currently on probation for a previous assault that caused serious injury. Despite this, she reportedly continues to engage in violent behavior.
Scott now faces additional charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held without bond.
