The homicide unit in Nashville, Tennessee is investigating the murder of 37-year-old David White, a man from Kinston, North Carolina. He was found shot dead inside his 18-wheeler.
A mother in Kinston, North Carolina is grieving the loss of her 37-year-old son, David White, who was discovered shot dead inside his 18-wheeler truck near a Love’s Travel Center in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday. She told WITN News that he had promised to give her a new car for her birthday. A tragedy back-to-back has just been too much for Rosemary White.
She told the news outlet that she received a phone call from authorities informing her that her son had been found shot dead in his truck. Rosemary told the media that 27 years ago, when David was 12 years old, his oldest brother saved him after he fell into a river. She said David was one of seven children.
And now someone has taken David’s life.
A Love’s Travel Center agent discovered David White dead in his truck
Metro police reported that his KA Logistics truck was parked on Lucas Lane next to the Love’s Travel Center. An employee at the travel center reportedly found David unresponsive. The police stated that his employer requested a welfare check when they were unable to contact him.
David was last seen on Sunday around 7:20 p.m. purchasing food from the travel center. The company where David worked spoke very highly of him, stating that he was well-liked and considered a friend by many.
“David was not just a member of the KA Logistics Inc. team; he was a dedicated professional, a reliable colleague, and a friend to many within our organization,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “His unwavering commitment to his responsibilities and his positive demeanor left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.”
