An employee of Morgan Pest Control in Rocky Mount has been arrested for rape
Police in Tarboro, North Carolina have arrested a pest control worker employed by Morgan Pest Control in Rocky Mount. According to the Tarboro Police Department, Gregory Battle was reportedly working around noon on Thursday when he allegedly forcibly raped a child inside an apartment.
A worker from Morgan Pest Control fled the scene of the alleged rape
When the Tarboro police arrived at the scene, they reported that Battle had already left. Battle was arrested at the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office around 7 p.m. on Thursday night.
Gregory Battle has been charged with child sex offense charges
According to the police, Battle has been charged with first-degree forcible rape, statutory rape of a child by an adult, and felony breaking and entering. Court records show that Battle has a history of violent criminal cases, with charges ranging from DWIs to assault with a deadly weapon, as well as breaking and entering charges.
Battle is in the Edgecombe County Detention Center with no bond set.
His court appearance has been set for January 17.
