North Carolina dad arrested for punching his son in the face at school
A North Carolina father has been charged after he reportedly showed up at his son’s middle school because he wouldn’t stop making farting sounds in class and allegedly punched him in the face, according to parent’s whose child was in the same class as the student.

Eden Police Department said officers responded to Holmes Middle School on Wednesday around 10:28 a.m., in reference to an assault involving a student and a parent.
Upon arrival, officers immediately took a 37-year-old Greensboro man, Marcus Garrett Scales into custody.
Marcus was charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.

According to Dorothy Wright in a comment on a social media post about Marcus’s arrest, she stated that a family member texted her, claiming to have witnessed the incident. The text alleged that the victim was reportedly making farting sounds in class, and as a result, his parents were called to the school because he wouldn’t stop.
“His dad punched him in the face and knocked him out,” Wright said.
Police have not yet released the details surrounding the felony assault.
Marcus was detained in the Rockingham County Jail on a $5,000 secured bond and has since been released on bail.
