NC social worker arrested after officials say she engaged in illegal sexual activity with a life-sentence inmate inside Harnett Correctional Institution.
HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. – A Harnett County social worker is out on bond after police say she crossed every professional line imaginable inside the walls of a North Carolina correctional facility.
According to Lillington Police, 63-year-old Pamela Snow, of Fuquay-Varina, was arrested Tuesday at Harnett Correctional Institution after investigators say she engaged in a sexual act with an inmate — a man currently serving a life sentence for murder.
Once the allegations surfaced, DOC officials acted fast, confirming her contract was immediately terminated.
NO PRIOR DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
The department also noted that since Snow worked through a third-party staffing agency, they don’t have access to her pay records, and they confirmed she had no prior disciplinary issues during her time at the facility.
After her arrest, Snow was processed and released on bond.
Authorities have not yet released details about how long the alleged relationship lasted or how it was discovered. The identity of the inmate involved has not been made public.
