Mya Savannah Johnson, a 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing from Burlington, North Carolina, has been located safe in Greensboro, as confirmed by her family.
On Saturday afternoon, a member of BeatMob reached out to inform us that they spotted Johnson at “The Depot” in Greensboro. They provided a video, which we verified using photos, confirming it was Johnson at the J. Douglas Gaylon Depot. We promptly notified the Greensboro Police Department, who quickly responded and found Johnson safe.
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons had issued a Missing Endangered Alert for 14-year-old Mya Savannah Johnson, who went missing from Burlington, North Carolina, Friday afternoon. She was last seen getting into a black Hyundai Veloster.

Johnson’s family told The North Carolina Beat late Friday night that she had met another girl on Instagram, who picked her up around 4:35 p.m., and they have not heard from her since. They also mentioned that her phone goes directly to voicemail.
Authorities asked the the public to be vigilant for Johnson, who was believed to be experiencing cognitive impairment.
Police reported that Johnson was last seen on Brooklyn St in Burlington.
Mya is a Black female, standing 5′ 5″ tall and weighing 180 pounds, with medium-length black hair styled in an afro and brown eyes. She was wearing a black shirt and black spandex bottoms, along with black crocs shoes, according to a family friend.
Mya will be re-united with her family today.
