A North Carolina man is calling out alleged excessive force by a security guard at a popular Charlotte nightlife venue. In a now-deleted Facebook post, Dimarco Alexander claimed he was violently assaulted on Saturday, May 17, at Eden of Plaza, located on Pecan Avenue.

Alexander says the guard, described as a white man and identified only by the nickname “Thor,” used unnecessary force during an encounter that left him bruised and battered.

“I COME HERE OFTEN AND NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES UNTIL YESTERDAY,” Alexander wrote in the now-deleted post, which was shared on Sunday, May 18.
He continued by saying the security guard at Eden of Plaza “over-abused his authority” and accused other staff of attempting to cover up the incident.
“THIS MAN IS 3X MY SIZE AND INSTEAD OF DOING HIS JOB, HE FORCEFULLY PUT HIS HANDS ON ME,” Alexander stated.
Photos shared on social media allegedly show Alexander with visible knots on the left side of his face, along with bruising on his body and back.
It’s still unclear what led up to the incident at Eden of Plaza.
