The entertainment world is mourning the sudden loss of a legend. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known as “Theo Huxtable” on the iconic sitcom The Cosby Show, has tragically passed away at the age of 54 due to an accidental drowning, according to TMZ.
Warner drowned while swimming during a family vacation in Costa Rica.
The heartbreaking news has stunned fans who grew up watching Warner on their screens as the youngest Huxtable child from 1984 to 1992 on the NBC series that shaped a generation. His role not only earned him an Emmy nomination but made him a cultural staple in Black households worldwide.

From Theo to TV Trailblazer
Warner didn’t stop at The Cosby Show. He kept his career alive and thriving. From 1996-200, Warner co-starred in the sitcom Malcolm & Eddie. From 2011-2015, he starred in BET’s Reed Between the Lines, and guest starred on hit shows like Suits, The Resident, Major Crimes, and 9-1-1.

He was also a Grammy Award-winning artist, taking home the trophy in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance with Robert Glasper Experiment and Lalah Hathaway.

In recent years, Warner connected with fans through his podcast, “Not All Hood,” with a new episode having dropped just two days before his passing.
