Kinston man arrested for church break-in after allegedly stealing an air conditioning unit, ladders, and chairs from a local house of worship. According to authorities, 62-year-old Anthony Cox was taken into custody Tuesday following an investigation by the Kinston Police Department.

Kinston Man Arrested For Church Break-In

The incident occurred at New Praise & Worship Church on Old Snow Hill Road in Kinston, North Carolina. Officers responded to a reported break-in and later obtained security footage that helped identify the suspect’s vehicle. With this evidence, police secured warrants for Cox’s arrest.

When officers arrived at Anthony Cox’s residence, they not only arrested him for the church burglary but also recovered a stolen moped inside his home. The Kinston man was officially charged with breaking and entering a place of worship and larceny after breaking and entering. He was booked into jail on a $25,000 bond.
