Mother Confirms Missing Son from Goldsboro Found Dead; Body Sent to Raleigh Medical Examiner

Justin Bright missing Goldsboro NC mother seeks help

Justin Bright’s mother, Carla Pridgen, confirms to The North Carolina Beat that her 30-year-old son has been found dead and his body sent to the Raleigh Medical Examiner’s Office.

A Goldsboro mother, Carla Pridgen, is heartbroken after confirming to The North Carolina Beat Thursday night that her 30-year-old son, Justin Bright, who had been missing since Wednesday, October 22, 2025, has been found dead.

Pridgen said Justin’s body has been sent to the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Before this tragic discovery, Justin had last been seen around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the La Grange, North Carolina area. His phone had been turned off, and his disappearance prompted an extensive search across multiple counties.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office said Justin was reported missing around 3:30 a.m. on October 23, 2025.

Justin’s mother previously told The North Carolina Beat that he was last seen driving a smoke gray 2025 Toyota Camry with black rims. A GPS tracker on the vehicle revealed a troubling trail across several cities before it was finally recovered and towed for processing.

According to Pridgen, the vehicle was tracked to the following locations:

  • Goldsboro, NC: The car was first tracked near Connie Walk, a trailer park area.

  • Mount Olive, NC: The next ping showed the car at 918 Church Street, where searchers found a bracelet Justin had been wearing and an air freshener from the vehicle discarded in the backyard.

  • Clinton, NC: The car was then tracked to 327 Stewart Avenue.

  • Raleigh, NC: The final GPS ping placed the car near West Grove Tower and another apartment complex, where it was towed and processed by authorities.
