Henderson Woman Killed on Christmas Eve During Domestic Dispute
HENDERSON, N.C. – A Henderson, North Carolina woman lost her life on Christmas Eve after what police say was a deadly domestic dispute — and the man accused of killing her is the person she was in a relationship with.
According to the Henderson Police Department, officers responded to a call on Dabney Drive around 7:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve night. When they arrived, they discovered 37-year-old Tiffany Lassiter deceased from a gunshot wound.
Police say Lassiter’s boyfriend, 52-year-old Mahlon Hebron, was taken into custody at the scene and later charged with one count of murder. Hebron is currently being held in the Vance County Jail without bond.
Court documents allege that Hebron “did of malice aforethought kill and murder” Lassiter — language that indicates the killing was intentional. Authorities have not released details about what led up to the fatal encounter.
As of now, police say the investigation is ongoing and no additional information has been made public.
