Greenville police arrested 24-year-old Ethelbert Clarence Defolia Oglesby Jr. for secretly planting a camera disguised as a phone charger inside a woman’s bathroom.
BREAK-IN AT GREENBRIER WOODS: WHAT HAPPENED
According to police, on May 27, 2025, Oglesby unlawfully entered a woman’s apartment at the Greenbrier Woods complex on Dunhagan Road. While inside, he allegedly installed a hidden camera—disguised as a phone charger—in the bathroom with the intent to spy on the resident.

The woman later discovered the device and reported it to Greenville Police, triggering an investigation. Warrants claim Oglesby planted the device to secretly capture photos or video of the woman without her knowledge.

He was arrested on June 6, 2025, and booked into the Pitt County Detention Center on a $20,000 secured bond, which he posted the same day.
On June 9, 2025, Oglesby appeared in court and waived his right to a public defender. His next court date is scheduled for August 20, 2025.
NO-CONTACT ORDER ISSUED
A judge issued a no-contact order, banning Oglesby from reaching out to or approaching the victim in any way.
