A suspect has been arrested in the murder of a 15-year-old girl who was shot and killed while she was walking with friends in Cape Coral, Florida, on Sunday night.
During a press conference on Monday, Cape Coral Police Chief Anthony Sizemore said that one of the teenagers who spoke with investigators mentioned they were walking to McDonald’s on Del Prado Boulevard South after leaving the movie theater, Coralwood 10, when a car pulled up and blinded them with its headlights.

Several unidentified suspects exited the vehicle and attempted to robthe three girls. During the incident, one of the suspects discharged a firearm, hitting 15-year-old Kayla Rincon-Miller in the chest. After the shooting, the suspects gotback into the car and fled south on Southeast 16th Place.
Around 9:30 p.m., police responded to the 2000 block of Southeast 16th Street and provided assistance to Rincon-Miller, who later passed away at a hospital.

In a recent revelation, Cape Coral authorities disclosed the apprehension of 16-year-old Thomas Roy Stein from Fort Myers, Florida. He faces charges as an accomplice in a robbery-related murder case involving Rincon-Miller. The incident, as per officials, is not deemed a haphazard act of violence.
