A Fayetteville shooting at Barton’s Landing Place has left one man dead after being shot multiple times in what appears to be a targeted incident, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. A chilling video now circulating on social media appears to show a man with a rifle in hand, moments after the fatal gunfire.

Authorities responded to the call just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning at Barton’s Landing Place Place. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. The individual was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries, police confirmed.

Video taken by nearby residents in the apartment complex appear to capture the immediate aftermath of the Fayetteville shooting at Barton’s Landing Place. In one video, a man is seen standing with a rifle, pacing near the victim’s body while shocked residents record from their balconies and windows.

In a separate clip, Fayetteville police are seen confronting a man, ordering him to the ground at gunpoint. The man, with his hands raised, is heard shouting:
“I kilt that btch, fck wrong with him!”
He continues, claiming the man he shot had opened fire on his vehicle and that he didn’t know the individuals involved. He accuses them of setting him up, stating:
“The one who ran was talking sh*t and got his friend popped.”
Investigation Ongoing
The Fayetteville Police Department has yet to release the identity of the deceased victim, pending notification of next of kin. No suspects have been formally charged or identified at this time, but police say the Fayetteville shooting at Barton’s Landing Place remains an active investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information or video evidence to come forward.
