The former flame of Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has come forward with a shocking claim. She alleges that during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, Doug slapped her so hard that she spun around, believing he misinterpreted her conversation with a valet as flirtation.

Identified only as “Jane,” she shared her story in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, recounting the moment when she attempted to tip a valet about $100 to expedite her and Doug’s taxi ride. As she spoke with the valet, Doug allegedly broke from the line, approached her, and turned her around by her shoulder before delivering the unexpected slap.
“As I’m talking to him, Doug got out of the line, comes up, turns me around by my right shoulder. I’m completely caught off guard, I’m not bracing, I’m in four inch heels, wearing a full-length gown and it’s between 2-3 a.m.,” sherecalled to the outlet, still in disbelief. “He slaps me so hard I spin around, and I’m in utter shock.”

Jane expressed that there had been no prior arguments between them, but in that moment, Doug revealed a “dark” side of himself. Only three of friends of Jane knew about this incident, who initially came forward regarding the incident.
“What’s frightening for a woman that’s been on the other end of it, is watching this completely fabricated persona being portrayed,” Jane told the Daily Mail in explaining why she decided to speak on the record. “He’s being held out to be the antithesis of who he actually is. And that is utterly shocking.”
In response to the allegations, a spokesperson for Doug firmly denied the allegations, stating, “Any suggestion that he would or has ever hit a woman is false.”

According to reports, Jane and Doug first crossed paths on Match.com in 2012, while she was living in New York and he was in Los Angeles. Their first date took place in March, and Doug even invited his eldest son, Cole, to join them.
“In retrospect, it should have been a red flag,” Jane admitted, describing their whirlwind romance as “intense.”
She recounted how Doug flew her to Los Angeles in April, where he spent the week discussing marriage and children, showering her with affection.
“He flew me to Los Angeles in April [2012]. I stayed in his home for a week. The entire time, he was alluding to marriage and having children with me,” she revealed. “He was totally love-bombing me. He grabbed me round the stomach and talked about wanting more babies,” she revealed.
Well, Jane why did you wait so long to finally come out and say something!?! Why wait until ten days before the election to say something. But, I’ll tell you one thing, if he did slap you so hard that you spun around, he can try that foolishness with Kamala, if he wants to. I bet’chu he’ll pull back a stub of a hand. 😅
