ABC Law Violation

Enfield Mayor Cited After Having Liquor At Event, Violating NC ABC Law

“SHOW ME THE LAW!”—ENFIELD MAYOR WILLIAM ROBINSON TURNED UP ON HIS OWN POLICE CHIEF

ENFIELD, NORTH CAROLINA – You can’t make this ghetto shit up. Enfield Mayor William Madle Robinson, of Brandywine, Maryland, found himself on the wrong side of the law this past weekend when his own police department handed him a citation for breaking North Carolina’s ABC liquor rules.

According to court documents, the drama went down on Saturday, November 1, 2025, during an event near N. Dennis Street and Bachelor Avenue in downtown Enfield.

Chief of Police Jerry Shoemaker personally cited the mayor for possessing spirituous liquor on unauthorized premises—and what should’ve been a calm citation turned into a full-blown showdown.

“THEY DON’T KNOW THE LAW!”

When Chief Shoemaker told Mayor Robinson he couldn’t have liquor on site, Robinson reportedly got slick with it, demanding the chief “show him the law.”

The chief even called up an ALE District Supervisor, who confirmed that yes, the mayor was in violation. But instead of chilling out, according to officer notes on the citation, the mayor allegedly got on the mic and told the crowd that the chief and the ALE agent “don’t know the law.”

Then it got really ghetto and ratchet.

According to officer comments, Mayor Robinson allegedly had his DJ play a song with lyrics saying “f* the police”** right after the confrontation. The chief documented the lyrics and “collected evidence.”

MAYOR ROBINSON RUNS TO FACEBOOK—AGAIN

Mayor Robinson hopped online to tell his side of the story. He claimed Chief Shoemaker “grabbed” his sweater collar and tried to shove the citation down his shirt after he refused to take it.

“I told him to get his motherf***ing hands off me,” Robinson posted, saying suddenly ten officers surrounded him. “Thank God a ton of people were there to surround them. The entire situation was one mistake away from being a horror scene.”

  1. Brandywine, MD. He definitely needs to be investigated for living out of state while serving as the Mayor of a town in which he does not legally reside. This article should be sent to the Board of Elections, along with any pertinent information to back it up.
